Northern Valley Administrator Ali Hawamdeh said firefighters managed to prevent the wildfire that burnt some 4km along the border of the Jordan River from spreading into the Kingdom’s agricultural lands, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Personnel from the CDD, municipalities, agriculture directorates, the Jordan Valley Authority and the region’s farmers are on alert to prevent any further spread of the fire, he added.
