Abu Al Raghib appointed director general of Media Commission

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday decided to appoint Tareq Abu Al Raghib as director general of the Media Commission. The Council of Ministers also approved amendments to the law of 2021 Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
The bill is aimed to develop a unified structure of the customs administration. Under the draft law, the Income and Sales Tax Department was granted authority to audit, estimate and collect income and sales taxes, as well as special tax within the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also approved amendments to the 2021 rules system of real estate agencies, for anti-money laundering purposes. The new amendments also deal with buyer-seller-agent relationship, notably the commission rate.
