JCI cancels visit to Kosovo after its opening of embassy in Jerusalem

AMMAN — The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) on Tuesday said that it had cancelled preparations to organise a visit of Jordanian industrialists to Kosovo after its decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem.
The JCI stressed that it always seeks to open new markets for national exports in a bid to support national products, noting that there are many markets that receive Jordanian industries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing a chamber statement.
The JCI reiterated that there is “no intention at all” to arrange a visit to Kosovo, in a gesture of rejecting Kosovo’s political stances in the region.
Earlier in the month, the chamber announced the prospects of organising a visit to Kosovo to enhance economic relations between the two countries during a visit by Kosovo’s non-resident Ambassador to Jordan Ilir Dugolli to the chamber’s headquarters.
