Public Works minister, Iraq counterpart discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Public Works and Housing Minister Yahya Kisbi and Iraqi Minister of Construction and Housing, and Municipalities and Public Works Nazineen Mohammed Wassaw discussed means to enhance ties in the constructions and housing sectors in Baghdad on Tuesday.
The two sides went over housing and construction issues and ways to develop cooperation between the two ministries and the two countries’ private sectors in the fields of roads, bridges, buildings, sewage networks and constructions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kisbi voiced the government’s keenness on enhancing cooperation with Iraq in relevant sectors, praising Baghdad’s efforts in addressing obstacles facing Jordanian contractors and investors in Iraq.
Wassaw commended the efficiency of Jordanian engineers and contractors, voicing her country’s interest in benefitting from such expertise. The meeting resulted in forming a joint committee to prepare a joint action mechanism to follow up on all issues and provide consultations.
