Cabinet reviews latest COVID measures, epidemiological situation

AMMAN — Amid rising COVID-19 positive rates and increased infections, the Cabinet on Sunday discussed the latest developments in the Kingdom’s epidemiological situation.
Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, during the Cabinet meeting, stressed the importance of tightening control to ensure individuals and institutions’ adherence to public safety measures, calling for showing “zero tolerance” against violators.
He also emphasised the necessity of intensifying oversight on individuals and institutions in bakeries and markets to contain the pandemic, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also directed the National Anti-Pandemic Committee and health bodies to be in permanent sessions to consider the epidemiological situation’s latest developments, conduct periodical assessment to review the recommendations before taking any decision.
Health Minister Nathir Obeidat briefed the gathering on the latest developments of the epidemiological situation, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
