Kreishan inaugurates number of projects in Jerash

AMMAN — Minister of Local Administration and Deputy Prime Minister Tawfiq Kreishan on Saturday attended the opening of a number of projects in Jerash.

During his visit to the northern region, the minister discussed with Jerash Mayor Ali Gogazeh the needs of the Greater Jerash Municipality, including demands for creating a government services complex, among others. The minister attended the opening of Zain Park, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and Zain Jordan.

The minister also opened a workshop, within the park, for recycling paper, cardboard and wood, which is equipped with a solar energy system, and a project to support the municipality’s efforts towards improving the quality of services. The minister honoured the supporters of the Greater Jerash Municipality from the Italian Embassy and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation as well as Zain.
