Lower House forms panel to draft reply to Speech from Throne

AMMAN — In its first meeting on Saturday, headed by speaker Abdulmunim Oddat, the Lower House’s permanent office agreed on the members of the committee entrusted with drafting its reply to His Majesty King Abdullah’s Speech from the Throne.
The response would be approved by the House and presented to His Majesty in 14 days, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the meeting, Oddat expressed appreciation towards His Majesty King Abdullah’s inauguration of the extraordinary session on Thursday despite the current conditions posed by COVID-19, which entails His Majesty’s pride in Parliament, Petra reported.
The speaker also stressed the importance of enhancing the House’s performance to meet the expectations of the people.
