Army chief, US ambassador talk military cooperation

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday met with US Ambassador to Jordan Henry Wooster, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The two sides discussed the recent regional and international developments and military cooperation, including defence systems and strategies.

The army chief stressed the preparedness of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) of Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army to provide medical services to diplomatic missions and military attachés in the Kingdom.

The US ambassador commended the efforts exerted by the Jordanian Armed Forces to curb the spread of COVID-19, especially in relation to the establishment of field hospitals to mitigate the current epidemiological situation.
