30 institutions shut down for violating Defence Order No.11

AMMAN — Thirty institutions on Sunday were shut down by inspection teams from the Ministry of Labour for violating Defence Order No.11. Labour Minister Nidal Bataineh said that the ministry's surprise inspections over the last few days have increased the number of shutdowns to 65.
He noted that the facilities that fail to comply with physical distancing and wearing face masks are penalised with a fine of no less than JD100 and no more than JD200.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the minister added that the inspection teams conducted a total of 3,017 visits over the last few days across the Kingdom.
A total of 530 closure notices were issued and 42 institutions had paid the minimal amount of the fine, he said.
