King, in phone call with Russian president, discusses regional, international developments

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, discussed the latest regional and international developments of mutual concern, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.

Discussions covered bilateral and multilateral efforts to counter and contain the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, and the importance of maintaining cooperation to address its humanitarian and economic repercussions, while safeguarding the health and wellbeing of peoples, according to a Royal Court statement.

The strategic partnership between Jordan and Russia and the importance of bolstering cooperation across all sectors were also discussed.
