Palestinian ambassador praises Kingdom’s rejection of Israeli annexation plans

AMMAN — Palestinian Ambassador to Jordan Atallah Khairi on Saturday lauded His Majesty King Abdullah’s position on the Palestinian cause, notably his absolute rejection of the annexation of parts of the occupied Palestinian territories, notably the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea regions. 

The envoy, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, “highly appreciated” His Majesty’s position, which the King reiterated during his recent interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, published on Friday. 

Khairy called on all Arab and Muslim leaders to stand by His Majesty and to express their full support for his “courageous and wise” stances towards the Palestinian cause and his response to Israel’s occupation and its racist policies and practices, especially the annexation of lands and forced displacement of Palestinians, Petra said.
