Operations of 4 drinking water desalination plants suspended

AMMAN — Environmental and food health personnel at the Zarqa Directorate of Health Affairs on Tuesday suspended the operations of four drinking water desalination plants for not adhering to the health requirements and standards of the Public Health Law.
Zarqa Health Director Mohammad Tahan told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that over the past two weeks, during their continuous monitoring and inspection rounds, health personnel have collected about 422 water samples from desalination plants, wells and water factories to ensure their compliance with the technical standard for drinking water.
