Medical association sets up field hospital to receive emergency cases

AMMAN — Head of the Jordan Medical Association Ali Obous on Sunday said that the association, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, has established a field hospital at the Professional Associations Complex to receive emergency medical cases brought in by the Civil Defence Department.
The hospital includes a clinic to providebiological treatmentto patients and a dental clinic to offer treatment for emergency cases.
In a statement to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Obous said that the field hospital has been equipped with 32 beds, three dental chairs, two ambulances and a special vehicle for blood donation, noting that 55 doctors work in the hospital from volunteer teams.
He stressed that this measure aims to prevent patients from coming into contact with each other in hospitals and reduce the possibility of them contracting COVID-19.
