Jordan, Iraq talk peaceful use of nuclear energy

AMMAN — Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) Chairman Khaled Toukan and Iraqi Minister of Health and Environment Alaa Al Alwan on Thursday discussed cooperation on the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Both sides also went over means to provide Iraq with medical radioactive isotopes that are produced at the Jordan Research and Training Reactor, exchanging technical expertise and training Iraqi human resources on the treatment of radioactive medical waste, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
