JPMC announces JD250,000 onation to renovate schools

AMMAN — The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) on Tuesday announced it would be donating JD250,000 to a national initiative to support the maintenance of public schools.
The initiative was announced by the Ministry of Education under a campaign launched by His Majesty King Abdullah last March to repay the debts of gharimat (indebted women), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
“The donation was made as part of holistic support efforts provided by the company in fulfillment of its social responsibility,” JPMC Chairman Mohammad Thneibat said. With the aid of community volunteers, the donation seeks to renovate a number of public schools around the Kingdom.
