RSS, UN agency sign environmental technical cooperation agreement

AMMAN — The Royal Scientific Society (RSS) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) has signed an agreement to implement the second phase of "transfer of environmentally sound technology" project.

According to an RSS statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Tuesday, the EU-funded project aims at improving the Kingdom's industrial sector through reducing the consumption of water, raw material and energy as well as boosting the environmental management systems and connecting with the Green Fund's programmes among other parties.

The project will be implemented in partnership with the chambers of industry and commerce and the environment and trade ministries.
