AMMAN — The government seeks to provide the proper environment for people with disabilities at workplaces, Khalil Abdallat, director of the human rights unit at the Prime Ministry, said on Monday.

During the inaugural session of a training course for Civil Service Bureau (CSB) employees, Abdallat said that the unit tries to adhere to the international agreements pertaining to people with disabilities signed by the Kingdom.

The project, “integrative workplaces for people with disabilities”, was held by the Arab Network for Civic Education (ANHRE) and financed by the US Middle East Partnership Initiative. ANHRE CEO Fattouh Youness said that the project aims at improving job access for people with disabilities, mainly in the east Amman and Badia areas.
