AMMAN — Two Jordanians were reported dead after their car crashed on Friday evening near Syria’s Khirbet Ghazaleh area near the border with Jordan, the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the centre director and ministry spokesperson, Sufian Qudah, said that the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus had informed the ministry of the accident and is following up on the transportation of the deceased’s bodies back to Jordan.
The news arrived detailing the death of one while another person passed away later in the day due to injuries, Petra reported. According to the statement, the families of the deceased were informed of the two men’s passing.
The car swerved as the driver lost control over the vehicle, which led to it crashing, the statement said.
