Princess Ghida honours winners of cancer awareness press competition

AMMAN — HRH Princess Ghida Talal, the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Centre, on Tuesday honoured journalists who won prizes for coverage of two campaigns carried out by the foundation to encourage early breast cancer testing and to combat smoking, respectively.

In her remarks at the ceremony, the Princess underlined the role of media in the awareness campaign to prevent breast cancer, which has been ongoing for the past seven years. The prizes covered print media, op-eds, TV and social media, among others. Princess Ghida also honoured individual and corporate supporters of the campaigns.
