Minister inspects classrooms for winter exam session

AMMAN — Acting minister of education Bassam Talhouni on Saturday inspected a number of schools’ classrooms in the district of Amman for the general secondary school certificate examination’s winter session.
The winter session began on Saturday and will finish on January 19, 2019, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Talhouni affirmed the Ministry of Education’s keenness to maintain the creditability of the exams and provide a suitable environment for students, expressing his satisfaction over the ministerial procedures and students’ handling of the exam process.
He also called on the students to adhere to the ministry’s instructions, voicing his appreciation of the ministerial committees, the Jordan Teachers Association and others who had contributed to the exams session.
A total of 25,250 students from all academic and vocational streams sat for the exam on Saturday another 73,000 students from the classes of 2005 through 2018 who had not completed the full exam or wished to raise their averages, also sat for the exam.
