AMMAN — The Higher Education Council, headed by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Bassam Talhouni on Sunday recommended the implementation of the 2018 draft law of The Armed Forces University for Medical and Health Sciences to the prime minister.
The council also requested that all Jordanian universities accept Syrian students’ identification security cards, which are issued by the Interior Ministry, instead of the Syrian passport for registration and graduation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The council decided to permit undergraduates to join intermediate diploma programmes at national community colleges. It also approved the development of specialised sub-courses for PhD programmes in general curricula at the University of Jordan.
The council cancelled the suspension of admissions to the political science programme at Applied Science Private University on Sunday as well.
