Freihat meets with US representatives over Syria, Middle East

AMMAN — The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat  on Wednesday received US Deputy Assistant Secretary and Special Envoy for Syria Joel Rayburn, accompanied by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for the Middle East Michael Mulroy.

In another meeting, Freihat also received Defence Senior Advisor for the Middle East Lt. Gen. John Lorimer and an accompanying delegation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The British Defence Attaché in Amman also attended the meetings, during which Freihat discussed the latest developments in regional and international arenas, as well as joint coordination and cooperation for a number of issues related to the Jordanian armed forces.
