Princess Basma discusses poverty, hunger with IIMSAM representative

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma, the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Jordan Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), welcomed the Deputy Secretary General of the Inter-governmental Institution for the Use of Micro-Algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM), Sheikh Mohammed Musallem Bin Ham Al Ameri, reported the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Wednesday.
The meeting, which was held at JOHUD's headquarters in Amman, discussed means of cooperation between the fund and IIMSAM through the implementation of programmes in various fields, especially in combating poverty and hunger, achieving economic development of families and enhancing the economic participation of women and people with disabilities.
Ameri explored in more detail the programmes and projects implemented by the fund in various fields such as social protection through early childhood development, poverty alleviation, empowerment of women, youth and vulnerable families along with other fields.
For her part, HRH Princess Basma highlighted the importance of the fund's objectives and mission and highlighted the contributions of cooperation between JOHUD and IIMSAM in serving the targeted groups and improving their standards of living.
