Mubaidin says strict measures awaiting festive firing perpetrators

AMMAN — Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin on Sunday underlined the need to further stiffen the penalty on festive firing perpetrators, urging governors to impose more administrative measures, including paying bailment, to ensure elimination of the phenomenon, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mubaidin noted that the Interior Ministry and the Public Security Department are adopting a set of strict measures in accordance with the provisions of the law to curb festive firing. The Interior Ministry has previously issued several circulars to governors on this matter.
