Archimandrite Raphael new administrator of northern region churches

AMMAN — The Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem, All Palestine and Jordan Theophilos III on Saturday handed over the administration of churches in the northern region (Irbid, Ajloun, Jerash and Mafraq) to the Patriarchal Vicar Archimandrite Raphael.
“The recent changes made by the Jerusalem Patriarchate came amidst unprecedented circumstances and difficult challenges for the church in the Holy Land, which made the Holy Synod, perform significant changes between bishops and priests and upon these changes, the decision to appoint Archimandrite Raphael as Patriarchal Vicar in the northern region in Jordan was made,” said Patriarch Theophilos during a speech at the Greek Orthodox Church in Irbid.
