SSC says insurance premiums increased by 16.6 per cent in H1

AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation’s (SSC) on Thursday said that the corporation’s insurance premiums in the first half of 2018 increased by 16.6 per cent compared with the same period of last year.
SSC Acting Director General Mohammad Yassin said that the premiums reached JD884, 18 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
For the insurance spending of the corporation, which include pensions, work injuries, and maternity allowances, he said that it amounted to around JD535 million, with an increase of 12.2 per cent compared with last year.
Meanwhile, the administrative expenses were around JD11 million, dropping by 6.6 per cent in the same period, he said.
