Ajloun Forest Reserve applies for int’l recognition on the Green List

AMMAN — The Advisory Committee of the Ajloun Forest Reserve on Tuesday reviewed the reasons and justifications for the nomination of Ajloun Forest Reserve on the Green List at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), during a meeting chaired by Ajloun Governor Ali Majali at the Royal Academy for Nature Conservation.
The director of the reserve, Othman Tawalbeh, stressed the importance of joining the Green List, which entails many positive aspects for the reserve, including international recognition, the opportunity to globally market the reserve and an added value to the location and its employees, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
