King congratulates Trump on independence day

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday sent a cable to US President Donald Trump greeting him on his country’s independence day, celebrated on Wednesday, July 4.

The King wished the American people further progress and prosperity, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Meanwhile, the US Charge d'Affaires Henry Wooster on Monday expressed his confidence in the strong partnership between Jordan and the US due "to the solid foundation we have built together".

In a reception held by the US embassy in Amman on the occasion of the 242nd Independence Day, Wooster highlighted the strong bilateral ties, referring to the meeting between His Majesty King Abdullah and President Trump last week in Washington. The ceremony was attended by a number of Royal family members, officials, diplomats and journalists.
