16,777 pensioners benefit from SSC loans

AMMAN — The number of beneficiaries of the Social Security Corporation’s (SSC) loans has reached 16,777 pensioners with a total value of JD49 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.

SSC Media Director Musa Sbeihi said that the corporation is “always open” to receiving loans for SSC pensioners, as it aims to contribute to improving the lives of pensioners and helping them meet their various needs.

He pointed out that the process of obtaining loans is directly managed through the retirement management without the mediation of any other parties, so as to facilitate procedures for the pensioners. In the event of the death of the loan recipient, payments for the loan will be covered by the crisis fund, leaving the pensioner’s family free from any obligation to incur the payments.
