189 licences issued for renewable-energy activities — EMRC chief

AMMAN — The total number of licences issued by the authority for renewable energy activities until the beginning of April reached 189 licences, Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) Chief Commissioner Farouq Hiyari said on Saturday, noting that licenses included the supply, installation, operation, maintenance and inspection of renewable energy sources systems, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Issued licences also included some for renewable energy companies, contractors or renewable energy companies on joint ventures with contracting companies.
