AmCham- Jordan honour founder of the Tent Foundation

An official reception was held at the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan in honour of Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of the Tent Foundation, and of the global food-company Chobani, LLC. Ulukaya who is visiting Jordan for the first time is joined by Per Heggenes, CEO of the IKEA Foundation.
The reception, attended by senior government officials, members of the international community, and leading Jordanian businesses, is part of ongoing national effort, supported by USAID Jordan Competitiveness Programme, to shed light on the economic challenges facing Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan, and develop new partnerships that can put in place private sector lead solutions that empower people to achieve their fullest potential.
In addition to supporting long-term capacity building programmes and tools that benefit refugees as well as the host country.
Welcoming the attendees, Mohammed Bataineh, AmCham-Jordan Chairman announced the ongoing work to hold the first Jordan Investment Forum in the US in the second quarter of 2018.
The forum will identify projects, companies and organisations that are socially impactful and have financial returns to be funded and support to grow.
