Fayez meets with deputy ruler of Dubai

AMMAN — Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance Shiekh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday received Senate President Faisal Fayez in Za'abeel, Dubai, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday. 

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan directed Al Maktoum Foundation to support Jordanian small- and medium-sized enterprises and other initiatives, which create more job opportunities for youth. 

For his part, Fayez praised the high-level of Jordanian-Emirati relations in various political, economic and social fields, describing these ties, which serve the mutual interests of both brotherly countries and people, as "historic, deep-rooted, and based on mutual respect".

Fayez hailed the continued support of Sheikh Hamdan and his directives to support youth initiatives in Jordan.

The efforts of Al Maktoum Foundation and the support it provides "would not have been achieved without the generosity of Sheikh Hamdan and his continued support to the foundation", Fayez said, voicing his appreciation of the Sheikh's directives.

Al Maktoum Foundation's Board of Trustees Member Merza Sayegh said that "Sheikh Hamdan's directives are based on the deep-rooted brotherly ties between the two countries and upon the Senate president's request".

The foundation's work in Jordan will be expanded through the formation of a joint Jordanian-UAE committee, which will be in charge of deciding which enterprises are needed in Jordan and the implementation of those enterprises according to their priority, Sayegh added.
