AMMAN — Jordanian Construction Contractors Association (JCCA) Deputy President Ahmad Yacoub has called on the government to pay the contractors dues estimated at JD65 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.
Yacoub said in a statement to Petra that the delay in payment has disrupted their work, resulting in many contractors failing to fulfil their financial obligations to banks and workers. He also stressed that the delay will negatively affect the sector and the completion of many projects, adding that many contractors are threatened with bankruptcy.
