AMMAN — Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi and General Manager of the Strong Shield for Equipment and Special Services Company Ashraf Baroumeh on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a new production branch in the Northern Badia’s Salhia and Naifah town.
The project will be funded by the Employment-Technical and Vocational Education Training (E-TVET) Fund to train and employ 300 workers from the town, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Ghezawi said that the memo comes under the ministry’s plans to create new jobs, increase investment volume at remote areas and address poverty and unemployment rates. Under the memo, the ministry offers a building, established by E-TVET in the municipality on a 3,000sq.m plot of land, to the company that has to pay salaries to the workers as stipulated in the Labour Law.
