Arab Revolt flag lowering ceremony held

AMMAN — The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Sunday held a ceremony to lower the Great Arab Revolt flag at the army headquarters, as part of the conclusion of the Kingdom’s celebrations of the revolt’s centennial.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat handed the flag to the head of the moral guidance department to be kept at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Gendarmerie Department held a similar ceremony to lower the flag at all of the department’s buildings simultaneously at 10am. Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Faqih attended the department’s ceremony to lower the revolt flag at all PSD buildings, Petra added.
