AMMAN — The Tourism Ministry on Tuesday floated a tender to light up the Karak Castle, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The measure is part of the ministry’s project to light up the Kingdom’s ancient castles in order to enhance safety and security inside and outside, improve the use of surveillance cameras that were recently installed and help in holding night activities.
The project will use renewable energy and seek responsible installations that do not affect the castles’ authentic features, according to Petra.
