‘Gov’t efforts contributed to boosting capabilities of industrial sector’

AMMAN — Government efforts have contributed to boosting the capabilities of the industrial sector through simplifying the EU rules of origin, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Imad Fakhoury said on Monday.
Speaking at the inauguration of the first exhibition of “Institutions and programmes to support the industrial sector”, Fakhoury said that Jordan is among the first developing countries which will benefit from the economic developments the world is currently witnessing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Amman Chamber of Industry Senator Ziad Humsi said that the exhibition is part of the chamber’s strategy to boost the competitiveness of the Kingdom’s industrial sector, through connecting Jordanian factories with local and international donor agencies.
