AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the mandating reasons for the financial investigations draft by-law for 2017, which will now be sent to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The draft by-law aims to establish a financial monitoring system, connected to the Finance Ministry, to boost compliance with the law and combat tax or fee evasion, in addition to boosting trust in the Jordanian taxation system and limiting violations.
The bill will also establish a government investigation system to combat the evasion of revenue payments due to the Treasury, in addition to specialised training for personnel, all in line with international best practices.
