Jordan, Sudan ‘keen on better ties’

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received a letter from Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir, in which he expressed keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The message was delivered by Sudan’s State Minister at the Presidency Lt. Gen. Taha Osman Al Hussein.
During the meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty stressed his satisfaction with the advanced "brotherly" relations between Jordan and Sudan and keenness on developing them to boost joint Arab action.
Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and King Adviser and National Policies Council Rapporteur Abdullah Wreikat attended the meeting, A Royal Court statement said.
