Monarch, Qatari leader highlight positive bilateral ties

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday discussed means to develop bilateral relations between Amman and Doha, in a way that best serves joint interests of both countries and their people.
During the meeting, held in the Dead Sea area, the two leaders went over the latest developments in the Arab arena, and the mechanisms necessary to institutionalise joint Arab action in order to better tackle regional challenges, according to a Royal Court statement.
Talks shed light on the strategic decision to hold the Arab summit in Jordan, as a means to enhance Arab solidarity and foster Arab countries' unity, so as to achieve Arabs' interests and serve their causes.
His Majesty and the Qatari emir also reviewed top issues to be discussed at the summit on Wednesday.
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi attended the meeting.
