AMMAN — Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) personnel on Thursday and Friday issued 50 fines against owners of construction projects in Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The fines were issued for leaving construction materials such as sand and cement unattended on pavements and roads causing them to be washed away by the rain and eventually clogging the drainage system.
GAM had previously urged owners to cover the materials and keep them away from streets.
