AMMAN — The Jordan Education for Employment (EFE) organisation has launched a training programme for unemployed youths in Amman in partnership with Boeing, according to a joint statement released on Tuesday.
“With Boeing’s financial support, Jordan EFE will provide 36 young unemployed people with training that enhances their employability in retail sales, followed by job placements for programme graduates in this growing sector,” the statement said.
The programme targets Amman residents between the ages of 18 and 26, who will be trained on technical sales and attend English language and life skills courses.
It builds on a “successful partnership launched in 2015, which provided 40 youths with demand-driven sales training and linked over 80 per cent of them to full-time jobs”, according to the statement.
