Four suspects arrested on drug-related charges

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have raided three houses in Amman and Zarqa and arrested suspects reportedly involved in drug dealing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported Tuesday.
Information the AND received revealed that the suspects used a house in Zarqa to allegedly make and sell synthetic cannabis (locally known as "joker"). In the first house raid, two suspects were arrested.
They were found in possession of 5kg of joker and 0.5kg of powder used to make it, in addition to a firearm and tools used to make synthetic cannabis.
In Amman, AND raided the second house and arrested one suspect, who was found in possession of 2kg of joker and 200 small bags filled with it and ready to be sold. A fourth suspect was arrested in the third house, where he was found with 0.5kg of the powder and 0.5kg of synthetic cannabis, according to Petra.
