AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department personnel have seized 1.5kg of cocaine that two suspects were attempting to smuggle into Jordan through the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), according to a Public Security Department (PSD) statement released Monday.
Information about a South American who planned to smuggle the narcotics led to tracking and arresting him at QAIA, where he was found in possession of a package containing the cocaine. Investigation with the suspect led to the arrest of a Jordanian accomplice who was planning to receive the narcotics, the PSD said.
