Maan police distribute winter aid

AMMAN — The Maan Police Department on Monday launched “the warmth of winter” campaign in cooperation with “the youth, country and challenge” group, which included distributing in-kind assistance to underprivileged families to alleviate their burdens in winter.

The aid included parcels, heaters, winter clothes and coupons distributed to some 200 underprivileged families, according to a Public Security Department (PSD) statement. Maan Police Director Col. Omar Khudeir said the PSD always seeks to ensure citizens’ comfort, with this campaign embodying the PSD’s humanitarian and social role in this regard, added the statement.
