Body of girl reported missing found in King Abdullah Canal

NORTHERN GHOR — Civil Defence Department personnel on Wednesday found a body of an 18-year-old girl in the King Abdullah Canal in the Sheikh Hussein area.
A family residing in the area reported their daughter missing on Tuesday, and the body was confirmed to be hers. Initial examination of the body showed no evidence of foul play, indicating that the teenager drowned in the canal.
The body was referred to the forensic unit for further investigation into the cause of death and the police are also investigating the incident.
