AMMAN — The Cabinet on Tuesday endorsed a plan pertaining to the electronic government project that aims to regain citizens’ trust in e-government through focusing on services that concern them.

The government plans in this regard to include the launching of 20 electronic services on the inter-connectivity system among ministries and public institutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Furthermore, the plan includes providing government services through smartphones, allowing users to inquire about transactions and services and pay many fees to several public departments electronically.

The plan will make it easier for citizens to receive government services in a safe, effective and fast way that saves time and effort, without having to physically report to the concerned agency, according to Petra.
