King, Queen visit training centre for disabled

AMMAN — Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Monday paid a visit to the Jordan Centre for Training and Inclusion (JCTI) and checked on services delivered to children with disabilities by the centre.
Their Majesties toured the facility and were briefed on the educational and rehabilitation services and therapies provided to around 220 beneficiaries, according to a Royal Court statement.
Their Majesties also toured an exhibition showcasing the centre's products of artificial limbs and medical devices that help the disabled embattle the challenges they face, the statement said.
His Majesty directed the Royal Court to provide the centre with all its needs of equipment, medical devices and furniture in addition to put in place a mobile clinic to reach out to the disabled at their homes, the statement said.
The King also instructed concerned agencies to provide the JCTI with raw materials to manufacture prosthetics and establish a specialised workshop for that purpose in coordination with the Royal Medical Services, the statement said.
Their Majesties were accompanied by HRH Princess Majda Raad, Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, King's Office Director Jafar Hassan, Social Development Minister Reem Abu Hassan and other senior officials.
