AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi said the PSD will implement a traffic safety plan during Ramadan by intensifying security measures, according to a PSD statement released Wednesday.
Saudi said police presence will increase in major locations in the country, including shopping areas, road junctions, mosques and parks, especially before iftar, when Muslims break their day-long fast. He also urged the public to help PSD personnel implement the plan through abiding by traffic regulations when driving.
