AMMAN — A total of 11,400 students were banned from sitting for the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) summer session for exceeding the allowed absences or failing school exams, Issa Maayaah, director of the Education Ministry’s examination department said Tuesday.
Maayaah said most of these students were from public schools, which indicates that some private schools do not adhere to ministry regulations.
